Venture Capital Interns

Lux Capital seeks interns to help analyze investment opportunities. Interns, typically MBA or Ph.D. students, work on a project-basis, usually part-time during a semester or full-time during the summer months. In return for their participation, interns receive a hands-on education in venture capital and advanced materials science/nanotechnology as well as exposure to entrepreneurial finance, business strategy, and due diligence.

Responsibilities

• Conduct due diligence on investment opportunities. Identify, contact, and interview executives and scientists in the materials, manufacturing, electronics, information technology, pharmaceuticals, and medical devices sectors.
• Conduct valuation and investment return analyses.
• Assist with portfolio company growth and strategy.
• Assist with deal-flow sourcing and new company formation.
• Collaborate with a team of experienced venture capitalists and leaders in the business and political sectors.
