Molecular Imprints was formed to commercialize a new type of imprint lithography. This unique nanoscale patterning capability enables new devices within the semiconductor, flat-panel display, hard-disk-drive, life science, and other high technology industries. Molecular Imprints sold its semiconductor imprint lithography equipment business to Canon Inc. in 2014, and its remaining business was acquired by a private company in 2015.
